Katie Bowman DaMota, MAS, IBCLC
Katie has built a reputation by consulting with families and working hard to solve the challenges that arise with the complexity of infant feeding. Her extensive background in the fields of child development and women’s health has allowed her to make a career of her passion for helping women to better understand their bodies and guiding them to make healthy decisions for themselves and their children.
Katie participated in the Child Development program at Mills College and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Cal State Hayward with an emphasis in Women’s Health. She received her Master’s Degree in Maternal and Child Nutrition at the University of California at Davis. She also completed the UCSD Lactation Consultant Program and is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Katie continues to expand her knowledge as a member of a research team at UC Davis involved with qualitative studies of infant feeding.
Katie is also a certified Postpartum Doula (DONA), and works with new parents throughout the San Francisco bay area. She is connected with many local birth and postpartum organizations, including:

Sabrina Easterling, MPH, IBCLC
Sabrina Easterling co-founded MilkSupport following more than a decade of experience in public health, perinatal health, and reproductive health training. In addition to helping lead MilkSupport, she works at UCSF as a perinatal educator and at California Pacific Medial Center as both a prenatal lactation educator and providing in-hospital lactation support in the days after the baby is born.
Sabrina has worked for years with expectant and new families, helping them navigate the complex -- and often contradictory -- information that pours in from health care providers, books, and blogs. She is committed to seeking out and applying the most up-to-date evidence to guide her practice, indulging her inner geek by keeping abreast on the latest research. She takes a non-judgmental, pragmatic approach to helping parents reach the goals they want for themselves.
Sabrina holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Boston University, specializing in Maternal and Child Health, is a graduate of the UC San Diego Lactation Consultant program. You can contact Sabrina at sabrina@milksupport.com.
